Three generations of the Feijóo family have worked this trade — first as ship chandlers, then as buyers in Nouadhibou, and today as an integrated importer serving European wholesale.
How we work
Distribuciones JN Roque was founded in 1998 to solve a simple problem: European buyers wanted African seafood at a European quality standard, and nobody was willing to sit at both ends of the chain to guarantee it.
We started with a single cold store in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and a buying office in Nouadhibou. Today we operate two processing plants in Spain, four buying offices in West Africa, and a quality team that audits every partner landing site twice a year.
We are deliberately mid-sized. Big enough to fill containers weekly and finance a season, small enough that the person who buys your octopus can tell you which vessel landed it.

Long partnerships
Our oldest supplier relationship is twenty-two years old. Fishermen who know they will be paid next season fish better this one.
Documented, always
Catch certificate, health certificate, temperature log and lot code travel with the goods, not by email three days later.

Founded in Santa Cruz de Tenerife with one leased cold store and two employees.

First permanent buying office opens in Nouadhibou, Mauritania.

Las Palmas plant acquired; crustacean and small pelagic lines added.
- 2016
IFS Food certification achieved for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife plant.
- 2021
Namibian hake programme launched with two partner trawlers.
- 2024
Digital lot traceability rolled out across both plants.
